You Can Call Me Al - Paul Simon

My guitar player just called me and said we are doing
You Can Call Me Al by Paul Simon tomorrow night.
He sent me tab but my ears tell me it's an octave lower on the verse and chorus.
Also, where the heck is the post chorus?
I hate these last minute cram sessions.
Can anyone give me some better tab ideas to fake through this?
I don't have to worry about the slap solo because we aren't doing it.
Here is the tab I have:

G---||--------------2--5--------5--|-----------3--5--------5---||
D---||*--3--(3)--3-----------------|--5--5--5-----------------*||
A---||*----------------------------|--------------------------*||
E---||-----------------------------|---------------------------||

Chorus
G---||------------2--5-----------2--5--|-----------3--5-----5-----5---||
D---||*--3--3--3--------3--3--3--------|--5--5--5--------------------*||
A---||*--------------------------------|-----------------------------*||
E---||---------------------------------|------------------------------||

Post
Chorus

G---||---------2--5--10--10--10--10--5--2--|-----------3--5--7--7--7--7--5--2---||
D---||*--3--3------------------------------|--5--5--5--------------------------*||
A---||*------------------------------------|-----------------------------------*||
E---||-------------------------------------|------------------------------------||

Slap Solo -

G----|--15--17------------------------------------------------|
D----|--------------15--17------------------------------------|
A----|----------17----------13--15--17--13--------------------|
E----|--------------------------------------15--15--17--15----|

G---|----------------------------------------------------------17--15--||
D---|----------------------------------------------17--15--------------||
A---|--15--17--17--15------------------17--15--------------17----------||
E---|------------------15--17--15--13----------17----------------------||

Should be close enough an octave lower.

Watch this awesome live version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGZ4BXrHxFw

Thanks Simon, cool link.
I played it last night and did fine.
I guess I was just in panic mode because of the short notice.
When I got there, the singer asked if we could do it in G instead of F.......,
but we ended up doing in in F by popular vote.
It sounded pretty good and we got compliments, so all was well.

My band have requested we learn this cover and (reguardless of the solo), when I listened to the original, I sighed as it sounded like an active bass with chorus and slapped. I'm not one for slapping and my technique is poor.

Is that tab exactly right? How does it fit in with the song as I can't see how it does?!

There's a version with notation and tab in the BASS VIRTUOSO'S book (which has some other cool lines too). Bass Books.com will have a listing...
