this kid at my school (im a junior he's a freshman) his name is Ian. he got expelled from my middle school because he stabbed a kid with a pencil in the neck. and now he got expelled from my school, but SOMEHOW he's back. anyway, hes a guitarsit, never heard him play, but he keeps bothering the band director to let him in band. Im gonna guess that he is terrible. he claims to play as good as Steve Vai. he bothers me EVERYDAY!!!!!!!! "DUDE, WE GOTTA MAKE A BAND, YOURE THE BEST BASSIST AT OUR SCHOOL, I WANT YOU IN MY BAND" i finally got so sick of it that i said "you want the best? 50 bucks per rehersal and 125 per performance" and he BOUGHT IT! now i need a way to get him away from me. im thinking a restraining order. what do i do? |

Seriously, I guess I'd tell him to get lost. He's just gonna keep coming back if you're nice to him. |

The kids a walking timebomb so I would definately be concerned.
Tell him you have just been offered a gig with another working band and need to put your head down as you are doing an originals project with them as well - "..but if this falls through, we'll definately get something happening..." type of thing

There's nothing funny about messing around with a dangerous kid with a violent history and if he starts getting funny, talk to a school counselor and your parents. |

Learn how to properly defend yourself against possible attacks from people who are mentally unstable or people who want to steal your wallet or people who are drunk and want to attack you for no reason. You will meet many of them in your life and this kid is just the first.

if this escalates anymore, tell someone you trust and ask for advice. if the kid is really pushy, be gentle but careful

Considering that he probably doesn't have the money to pay you, I'm all for the "fabricate your way out of it" plan.

I once played a show with a weak-ass heavy metal band and showed the guitar player up by playing Eruption on the bass (Not very well, but better than he could pull off on guitar, hehe). He was pretty pissed and never asked me to play with him again

If he keeps bothering you, talk to your parents, counselor or school administrator about your situation. Let them handle it.
You're over you head in this situation and making it worse by coming up with ideas that don't (won't) work.
THIS IS NOT SOMETHING YOU CANNOT HANDLE. STOP TRYING. YOU'RE DEALING WITH A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PERSON AND PUTTING YOURSELF IN POSSIBLE DANGER.
