She's past getting any better in my opinion. She's well into her 30's!

Well it certainly wasn't the best I've ever heard but it wasn't "William Hung" quality either.

There have been quite a few hot female singers that have had astonishing music careers that cannot sing at all! Amazing things can be processed/overdubbed in the studio.

Jennifer Lopez and Ashley Simpson are two off of the top of my head.

Maybe someone can talk her into "talking" songs?

But if you don't

I think U made the right choice. Sadly the music "industry" DOES pay more heed to looks of girls rather than talent in most cases. As a blatantly obvious example- let see how many CURRENT female singers on the charts today AINT good lookin????
I wonder if Mama Cass would get a look in i todays "industry". As a good band said "Sad But True"

I agree but I still think most of those 'non' talents still can sing in pitch to a degree. I don't think this chick would have a chance. She'd be exposed pretty quickly, IMO!

As you know in today's music industry especially, that good looks dont = talent. Hows the rest of the band? I was in a really great band once, but the singer was pretty mediocre. So for me the talent of the instrumentalists outweighed the bad singing. If the band is good, you can always try to drown her singing out. If for you, the bad singing outweighs the music, then I guess its a no go.

I really don't know other than the drummer. It was just the 2 of them at the audition. In no way would I join a band of rather good musicians fronting a really bad singer unless they were willing to make a move to find a better vocalist. It's funny because they do have an every Friday night gig at some spot but they're wondering why no one comes to see them. Duh! I still can't believe they're banking on this chick!
