Trying to figure out what the going rates in the area are for a 3 set night cover band playing on St. Paddy's day? We provide sound and lights. Working on a gig down there and don't want to price myself out of a job, but I don't wanna lose money either, ya know?

Guess it depends on what type music you guys are doing. Being St. P. Day, doesn't really mean more $$$, that comes on holidays like New yrs eve. With that said, NO LESS than $500. On avg. if you guys are GOOD...I'd say $600-$800 for a typical bar band. Keep in mind the bars are hurting also from the economy, so if you haven't proven yourself to the bar, you'll prob. get the lower end {again no less than $500} One thing I can't stand as a fellow cover band is another band taking less $$ {$300}and free wings/beer. It really hurts the other bands out there.

Cool. I appreciate it. I was definitely thinking along the same lines.
