And why on earth would it matter when they started singing? Good is good, and it seems you need someone willing/able to grow with the band. I think square one here would be to realize that writing/singing/fronting are emotional investments, and should not be taken so lightly.

I have to add, the band (expletive deleted) RIPS, why look for a singer in the first place? Cookie monster vocalist BS bands are a dime a dozen, do what your doing and keep killing it.
Hey thanks for checking us out. Yeah we have found tons of the death metal singers. This is not the first band that I have had this issue with. It seems that players expect a singer to be able to be perfect from the first note. I know that it takes time to develop with an original band. I think what ends up happening is that this (and my last band) develop so far advanced that singers are not able to play catch up.

I would take someone who is new to singing, but chances are they are not developed enough to jump into something like our situation.

Thanks!!!

So are you looking for Howard Jones or are you looking for the next Vince Neil. I know I gave some advice earlier, I have thought a little more and feel things are bit vague. If you are open to it all, I would make that very apparent.

It seems to be working since that process weeds out the karaoke wanna-be's. We've had like 5 auditions in the past 2 weeks - no huge scores yet, but we're thinking the right singer might just come along any time now! Good luck with your search!
Thanks!!!

I think our issue is that we have friends in the industry waiting for us to get our disc finished so they can shop it for us. We are at the point were we are good enough to sign but without a solid singer. So we are looking for someone that is already established. We did have a singer that we were developing but he gave up on himself.

More of the Howard Jones sound. We have been specific in our search. But again we are already developed so its kind like trying to fit a puzzle piece.

I think once our EP is mixed we will get some help from a label or management company. But I would like to find someone on our own and then find the label and such.

Well I guess David Lee Roth will have to do ( we took the sound board from Running With The Devil ) and used it on top of one of our songs.
