Anyone ever posted about band troubles and the band found out?

I enjoy reading about band dramas and situations in this forum. Just wondering if anyone ever had their band get wind of it? Did the #%$* hit the fan?

Or how about the flip side: Did you ever find out a band member was posting about you on another forum?

I've always had the sneaking suspicion people posted hoping the offending parties would find the posts.

Me, I couldn't care less. If I have a problem, I'm going to deal with it directly, not waste time whining to disinterested third parties.

This is the very reason, I never post about current band issues. Well, that and the fact I don't really give a crap about what total strangers think of my own unique circumstances.

Especially given the proclivity of idle crowds to yell, "JUMP!" to the troubled drama queen teetering on the ledge.

yup! happened to me here! Some dickhead called my band's drummer about my posts.

It's ok, I was leaving the State anyway. I ended up in my last 2 months playing with a far better bunch of musicians and people.

The drummer? Left that band last year anyway.

But yes, I don't think I would post stuff here about current issues. No way.

Haha I've always wondered about that, so i don't post anything like that here, or on the bass forum from my country that i'm a part of, also because New Zealand is such an outrageously small country there's a very high chance they would!

We're all grown up ... we don't whine about band issues in public. We address them as a band.

Not on a forum, but I once had a posting in a music store, "Band looking for drummer". Our drummer saw it, saw my name on it, and quit. Which was great, since I was replacing him anyway.

I don't think anyone in my band would ever be interested in talkbass, but you never know. It's a small internet.

So for the record my band is great

i've never had it happen on here as i don't think i know any one who uses talk bass, but when i was in some band, playing guitar about 5 years ago, the other guitars was b*tching about me at a party i wasn't at, the drummer over heard and punched him in the face, and unsuprisingly he left the band.
