My band wants to play in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan sometime in February or March. Is anyone here from Saskatoon, who could give me some club names / contact info? Any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry for posting off-topic stuff but, I'm amazed how TB could exist for 5 years before anyone thought of creating the username "Bass"! Haven't seen you earlier on here...

I hope to visit Saskatoon at some point as my company has a factory there. It would be cool to know some places to visit for live music, so I'm interested in the replies you might get as well.

I don't have any contacts in Saskatoon but here's a link to some clubs and pubs.

Good luck!

P.S. google some booking agencies in the area. They may or may not help.

I haven't been there myself, but I've heard good things about The Odeon. My friends have seen several different bands there, and I've never heard a complaint about the venue itself.

Try Craigslist or gig-swapping with other bands. You can search by location & profile view count on MySpace.

He meant that TB had been around for ~5 years already by Nov '03.

What an opportunity to meet Sheldon Dingwall, who lives there somewhere - he is busy building basses, but he may give you some ideas for gigs.
www.dingwallguitars.com has contact info.

Good Luck & stay warm.

Deacon, I think the username is very clever, others don't! I spend most of my time on the Stand-up bass side since I switched 2 years ago.

Corner Gas was filmed about 30 mins away from me, they used to run a tour bus out to the set. Glad you like the show, keep your eyes peeled for the TV movie.

i dont know stoon at all but i did a job in julias and a few locations a while back.....they tell me that it was a run down property that they reclaimed a little at a time as the tattoo shops etc moved out...the town seemed to have a healthy night life and that place had a good vibe and band.....at least that night....

...i may check out your band but im thinking that the cavern crowd is as tad young for me......these days im more into emmylou harris/austin tx stuff than hard rock etc.....

..i know some guys on the corner gas crew......

There's a girl from Saskatoon I befriended about a decade ago online and then lost touch with... I wish I could find her again, her name is Amber Acoose and she was seriously cool... *sigh*
