Anyone play "Love Shack"

Sign in to disble this ad
I heard this song for the first time in years the other day and was thinking that it would be a great tune for the set list of a cover band. There is something about it that makes me think it would really get a postive reaction from a crowd

So I'm curious if anyone out there actually plays it and if the crowd goes nuts?

I have successfully avoided playing "Love Shack" and "Play that funky music white boy".

And the same goes for "Brick house"

It's in our list every gig, and it *always* has women dancing.

I like it because the bass line is stupid simple and has easy variations, so I just check out and watch the booties shake.

Congratulations. I'm sure all the people sitting in their chairs watching you play appreciate your accomplishment.

It goes over well with a crowd - just don't take it too seriously. Our singer gets very "feminine" when he does the male part (if you can call it a "male" part) and people get a kick out of it.

This song definately demands that the band ham it up. Without a doubt.

"Love Shack" works, every time. Chicks love it.

It's fun to play too if you've got a slammin solid drummer behind you. Just bathe in the groove and enjoy the view.

Used to play it all the time, it was a crowd favorite. Surprised a new generation of bar flies are into it!!
