Been thinking that this would be a great song to cover... damn groovy bassline.

Has anyone tried this? seen it? recordings?

I'd love to see how other bands have tried to pull this off

Oh man, I love this song! Would be pretty cool to try and pull off.

We used to do that all the time along with a couple of others, sadly no recordings.

Chameleon was the other song we did a lot too.

Let's see, we had 2 guitars, bass, organ, and 2 drummers. Basically the hippy jam band thing about 7 or 8 years ago.

On Rockit, the lead synth sound was done on guitar, and it was mellowed out just a little bit. It was pretty cool.

I've never done it, but I know some friends who have. They did it as a segue in a song and sometimes part of a hip hop medley. They had 1 drummer, 1 guitarist, 1 bass player, 2 MCs, and 1 dude who did keyboard/horn/turntable/maracas. As you can see, the last dude was the integral part of it. Sounded really good. I can't find any footage of them doing it (the video I made somehow got corrupted), but here's a video of the band doing another song to get an idea of their sound.
