Attention Chicago Area Players

Anyone played in the Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier? I'm gigging in there next Sunday for the Chicago Marathon and they are running us through their 30,000 watt house line array system -but I have no idea what the place sounds like in terms of boominess, echo or mud. Your thoughts are welcome!

Hi Lonnybass,

Never have played there but saw a couple of bands there several years ago. From my perspective in the audience and from several different places in the room, it was very boomy-sounding. The ceiling is very tall! Again, this was a while back - they may have tweaked it a bit....

I just played there for a corporate thing about 2 weeks ago.very very high ceiling,big P.A. bring a smaller rig and use it as a moniter,bass bounces all over that room if it's too loud.
