Audition!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello bass fourm!! I am auditioning for my first band outside of school in about a month and I am antzy as hell!

they play proggressive metal (any band that labels themselves prog is a pet peave of mine, but hey, i like their sound).

So my question is how can I come to this audition ready to kick some ass?
What are some techniques that I should have squared away?
how can I impress them?
I would say my strengths are musicality, tonality, rhythem, and versitility while
my weaknesses are limited experiences in a band and picking up bass 3 months ago.

The good news is that if I'm not that good, they could bring me in on Tenor Sax which I know I'm boss at.

I responded to a Craiglist ad a few weeks ago and have been talking to the guy for a few weeks about the band that he wants to form. We haven't even played together yet, but I think we know exactly what to expect of eachother. Start up a dialoggggggggholdon--wait, I just glanced up as I was typing--

...yeah. Just know what to expect of each other and make a determination based on that. That's what I'm doing right now.
