Fan of basketball or not, seeing Duke vs. UNC at Cameron Indoor Stadium is one of the top 10 things you should do in life. It's not about the game. It's the atmosphere and experience.

Someday...someday.

This brings back memories of the Dean Dome...camping out for tickets, watching so many guys that later went pro (Vince Carter, Rasheed Wallace, Jerry Stackhouse, etc...), and, of course, rubbing our victories in the face of all the Dook fans

I haven't been back there in 10 years at least.

I caught a game once in Cameron from the second row of the student section, and let me tell you, it is close to the court. The first row stands literally inches from the sideline.

But anyway, I wanted to bump the link to our NBC-17 piece. It got buried on page 2.

Carry on.

Sessions at Studio B

There are 4 original tunes among some really lame interview banter. You can skip to the songs at these times:

Surf: 00:30
Funk: 7:05
Spy / Noir: 11:20
Twang: 21:50

Please let me know what you think, good and bad!

Finally, a keyboard player that doesn't go heavy with the left hand bass.

It's been a year! I'll update this autobiographical thread.

Our drummer quit the band to join a rockabilly outfit, and his replacement, Rob Ladd, is a peach. The guy played on Alanis Morrisette's first record and toured with Roger Daltrey and Don Henley, among others. He moved back to NC last year, and for some reason wanted to play in our band.

So Saturday marked his first night out with us, and to put it bluntly, we are over-the-moon happy. A couple of youtube highlights:

Less Funky than James Brown on his Worst Night

Can You Invent a Genre to Describe This Song?

Hey, nice to see there are some tight bands in the area. Mind quitting so I can join

Just kidding, maybe I'll come out and see you sometime!

Awesome read! As someone who's only been playing for a few months, it's very inspiring. I've got a regular gig on drums, but since picking up bass I feel so much more at home on it, I am really looking forward to the day when all my time is scheduled up full with bass work like yours. Thanks for sharing it and updating us!

that is a very comfortable level of learning he's askin you, my current project asked me to learn their entire discography of 30 plus tunes in two weeks
quite intense
