Audition songs?

Hey guys,
so i've decided that i want to do the whole band thing. i was in a band about 2 years ago, but tbh i wasn't that good, and i still was better than most of them

So, i was wondering if you guys could suggest any songs that would be good for auditions, if (and when) they say "so. play." I play mostly rock stuff, but tbh if it sounds good, they'll probably like it

Dani California's a good one to have in your repertoire, it's fairly simple once you get the hang of it, and easy to play around with/funk to your liking

completely depends on what type of band you are going for...i would just start jamming coming up with ideas as you go...or have some ideas ready that you think sound good..ideas of your own...if it is a cover gig...ask for their setlist or i dunno play aeroplane with the solo
