Where do i find ads that say bassist wanted. I want a band but no idea where to look. I have a guitarist but am willing to put hat little project on hold.Thanks Tyler

craigslist.org look under musicians

local music shops usually have bulliten boards of people seeking musicians as well

A lot of cities have newspapers where people put ads out in the classifieds sections, that's assuming you're in the united states. I know here we have a City Beat where people post ads looking for musicians and/or bands.

craiglist can be a great resource. A great way to find musicians in your area is to try googling for local musician sites for your state/province. For instance, I live in Wisconsin, and there are three decent sites to check out: milwaukeerocks.com, madisonmusicians.net, and wibands.com.

Overall, it can sometimes take some work to find sites like that, though, so be prepared to spend a little time. After all, most bands don't form overnight!

Also, check out your local music store...a lot of places have a bulletin/message board set up for people to find other players to jam with.
