Band Bio

Sign in to disble this ad
My band, Threeflow, recently set up a website via my pops. Its very cool, but its simply a home page with no links. We are currently working on a MySpace, but a Bio section is a easy way to get started.

For a Band Bio for every member, what is a good way to set it up? I was thinking about 20 questions to ask each member, and make it a Q&A type thing.

Im open for any suggestions, but especially open for questions. I have been skimming other band MySpaces, and BP Magazine for ideas.

How many members?

20 is a lot of questions, a short paragraph, and maybe 10 questions would be better, IMHO.

You didnt derail! We should make our own forum. We answer each others questions more than anyone else..

I agree with that idea. A Paragraph, and 10 questions, and a live picture.

Any ideas on questions?

EDIT: Oh, we are a trio.

It'd be a pretty busy fourm, eh?!

As for the questions, the basics should do,
How long have you been playing?
Why did you choose your particular gear?
Dream gear?
Fave part of being in the band?
Musical goals?
Fave songs to play?
etc.

As for the trio, thats cool, if it was a big band, I'd have lessened each players bio even more.

But they have no options, there is only one correct answer,
Yes.
Only on NJL.
Only on those I dislike.

I meant a SoBe.. You know, LIFE water? OR the board game.

To keep it on topic, band bio.

Monkey, monkey. Steve will be his name.

I suggest that you write a band bio instead of posting on TB.

Look at some that work, and make sure yours is well written (which means get someone who is a good writer to write it).

P.S., why does your myspace say you're 20?

I also suggest that you study some other band's bios, and adjust yours accordingly.

Most importantly, I wouldn't come up with a website until after you've got something to say about yourselves, but that's just me.

It wasnt even our idea for one. My dad went to school for computers/web design so he had to make one. He has been waiting for me to get a band forever. He is just having fun.

It is a cool looking website though, take a look!

I might be careful about naming the Band “Threeflow”. You may very well get more members down the road, in which case the name wouldn’t make much sense.

A buddy/coworker named his band “Four Lane Highway”, then they went to five (or three, I can’t remember, I really should have gone to more of his shows).

Anyways, you get my point.

As my dad said, we can always go to Fourplay!

We arent worried about that, really. Where I live Im lucky to get a trio, none the less anymore.

We have a saxophone player, but he has come to one practice. We are just calling him a "guest" more than a member, because thats really what he is.
