Band Issues

hey dudes, my band is finally up and running, but we have a few problems:
- we need to get videos on the facebook page (we just made it yesterday), but we have no operational camera.
- we need enough fans to get the ball rolling, so if you have a facebook, please become a fan.( here it is at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Crush-...?v=wall&ref=mf) we also need more fans because two other local bands are trying to get us all together as a triad-type thing, but only if we have a certain number of them.
- our drummer can rarely show up, so we had to hire a substitute.
any ideas?

1) hire a camera, ask friends if they have camera's, ask your parents to chip in on hiring one (I assume you are underage), this one isn't too hard really

2) with this I cannot help, spread the word as much as possible, make flyers whatever.

3) get a new drummer (one that plays for free or a band cut and shows up)

Yeah, number 1 should be easy, most colleges and highschools have AV...Find a nerd or talk to the teacher and see what it will take to get one of those bad *** cameras...might even let you use the editing room. A lot of those guys need projects for class or money, give a nerd 20 bucks and I bet he'll come video it himself, I used to do wide shot basketball games for the coach at $40 a night.

+1 to the highschool kids. School film crews like to get in on "the scene" any which way they can.

2) TONS of groundwork. Get your good friends to help create "buzz". That should be a little easier if you're in school too. Don't play your band up like it's huge... let your friends do that.

3) If you can work around the drummer's busy schedule, doing more individually... great. It can work out well. If not, you're stuck paying or getting a different drummer

Do we have to use the term "nerd"? It's not 1985, we don't all go to Adams College...let's use geek...much more friendly.
