Which Band Name Part II

Sign in to disble this ad
Edit------
It should be Strongest Swimmers not srongest.

Also, Strongest swimmers is my pcik because it implies we were all the strongest swimmer, be beat out all the other sperm to be who we are. At some point in our lives we were fighting to exist. Even if no one else ever knows, it means a lot to me.

------------

So here it goes.
our last name is Rhum. At least the singer and I. The drummer and anyone else comes in knowing it is mainly our project. We are a husband and wife. age 22 and 24, playing music with influences from Portishead, Queens of the stone age, Faith no more(King for a day fool for a lifetime), Nelly KcKay, Bjork.

Styles fall all over. We were well exccepted with the Jazz and Blues clubs in town. I really think that people age 20-30 will dig it.

Anyway, thanks for polling.

rhum? is that pronounced "rum" or "room"?

if there is one rule on band names - it has to be easy for people to remember and spell. otherwise, they'll never be able to find you.

I vote for none of them. They don't jump out at me.

They could have a family reunion with "Ben Dover" and "Phil McRak". Maybe even "Seymour Bush" will be there.

Does good old Michael "Mike" Hunt get a look in too?

How about "True Rumours"
or Rumour Mill
Rhumatoid
etc etc

Strongest Swimmer makes me think of the Olympics, and is a mouthful to say. Maybe something more simplistic, but with the same close meaning to you?

I think Rhumbus is a cool name. Sounds like Rhombus which is the coolest shape name in geometry. Also, includes bus, which makes people think there are going to be a lot of other people with them. On the bus. With Rhum. Also, because of the word association, people will have a headstart pronouncing it.

Ball and Chain sounds like a cover band of fortysomethings.
Strongest Swimmers is mediocre. Does it refer to sperm?
Rhum is creative but obtuse.
Whoopsy Daisey is just goofy.
