Better Facebook App

www.facebook.com/stacherockschicago

We have had great success with our facebook page for reaching new and existing fans. However, we have been using the Application “Band is in Town” and it is quite awful. It prompts the user to declare if they are going to show, maybe going, or “Skip”. Regardless of what answer you give, nothing comes up showing the address. I am pretty sure people have been searching our venue names through Google anyway, but I think it is vital to have address information on the screen at a click of a mouse.

Is there an application or SOMETHING to help organize our shows better on our facebook site? Simple setup is crucial – you see a venue name on our list of shows then you click on it; address and details appear. Nothing more than that. I do not want people declaring their attendance to shows or more to see details.

Thanks in advance

I can't. We have used that app ourselves and promptly removed it too.
I would be interested to here of anything else... although the Events app seems to work quite well.

It's interesting, Slayer, Machine Head and our competition use the exact same app. IMO, it sucks in all cases. If I knew how to code and create a new app, I would definitely do it.
