Boston Summer Tour

Sign in to disble this ad
Well, there's not much to discuss yet, but I still thought I'd start a thread on this.

Boston is expected to tour this summer. My avatar should give away the fact that I am big fan, back to album and tour 1.

This would be the first time I have kids who are old enough to go with me, so this will be a family affair.

Hoping to hear about the ticket sales in time to purchase on day 1.

I dig Boston also. But I wouldn't worry about them selling out in record time...tix will probably price out ($100+) a lot of casual fans. Have a good time though. Boston kills!

So far, the only information I find is some hints at touring in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boston_(band)

There are rumors of a spring or summer tour in 2007, and it is currently confirmed by the band that it is in the planning stages

A couple of things beyond that:

- Boston is already on the bill at a summer concert somewhere. I can't remember the name.

- Brad Delp has said in interviews that a summer tour will happen.

- If you do some reading at the forum gonnahitcharide.com, you'll learn that, even though the dates are not announced yet, rehearsals for the tour are underway.

It's gonna happen. It's just a question of when and how many dates, but it's gonna happen.

As soon as I saw that flashed on the screen via CNN, I turned off the TV and got out my Boston CD's and am still playing them as I post on TB.

Brad Delp will indeed be greatly, greatly missed. Boston was a really big trend setter in the mid '70's.. Man I couldn't believe the mix on the first two LP's.

Huge loss. Boston is one of my all time favorite bands and I love their music and style. Brad was only 55! SUCKS.

I heard right before I went out tonight for a gig.

I'm still in shock.

I had the greatest admiration for Brad.

The world just lost one of the greatest male rock singers of all time, maybe the very greatest.

He will be sorely missed.

I followed from day 1, seeing them on album 1, 2, and 3 tours.
For the 3rd Stage tour, I was in the 9th row, and it was an incredible night.

My oldest children would now enjoy it, so the plan was to get to the summer tour with them.

RIP Brad. You were the greatest.

I was able to catch Boston on their last couple tours (as recently as 2005 I think). They were still such a great band and my wife and I were really looking forward to a possible tour this summer. Brad will be dearly missed, but his voice will continue for generations to come.
