Can anybody tell me what the heck a good distribution deal consists of? I'm trying to get my CD in stores and online companies. It seems to me like a big rip off. These places want anwhere from 4 to 7 bucks a CD. Cost, equaling Production + Duplication + Marketing + Shipping + Distribution's cut ($4 to $7 depending on who it is) , makes it so everyone makes out but the band. It's seems distribution seems to be the biggest problem of it all. Can anyone provide so insight on reducing distribution cost or how it works with the bigger acts? Thanks |
