Classification of cover songs

Ok I need some help. My cover band has decided to ditch the classic rock songs we had in our set. We are now mostly doing songs from the 90's and some early to mid 00"s. How would you classify it? Modern Rock maybe? I hate to use "Modern Rock" in our promos and have people expect a lot of brand new songs.

Here are a few songs we are doing if that helps.

Bush - Little Things
Weezer - Buddy Holly
Sponge - Plowed
Better than Ezra - Good
Jimmy Eat World - The Middle
The Darkness - I Believe in A Thing Called Love

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Whatever The Foo Fighters classify their music as, could be alt. Rock. Am not sure, but you would playing music similar to theirs and would cross different decades

Matthew_84 - About 20-30% of our songs are not from the 90's

mjac28 - Alt Rock is probably the right choice. I thought "Alternative" was too broad but "Alternative Rock" probably fits just right. I guess I just thought about it so much I missed the obvious answer. Thanks!

Yeah, just call it rock.

I don't like the term "modern rock" either. 90s rock works too, even if some of the songs aren't really it gives people the right idea.

We are also not just a classic rock band however we bill ourselves as a classic, alternative and modern rock cover band. Mostly 80s to 2000s hit rock songs. Booking agents consider us a variety band.
