Was upbeat about a trio we were laying groundwork for, but one of the guys (guitarist) will not be able to do it. It seems his Christian rock band got signed to a label. I don't know what that really means, but I hope they are able to go as far as they want to. Bummer for me.

The drummer calls me and says an old friend (guitarist) just got a new amp and has been dying to try it out. We meet, he is nice, has good equipment, and plays very well. He had 2 sets worth of material he sings! It's all stuff that goes over around here-ZZ Top, Skynrd, Bad Company, Hendrix, SRV, etc. Could be a very quick start band. I hope so!

Dang, I've GOT to be in Alabama in January to take care of some business. If you have any gigs by then, I'd take the time to drive three hours to hear you...
