Its been a little while and these threads are always fun.

SO, If you had your own trio (you, guitar, drummer): Who would you have backing you up on Guitar and Drums? Any musicians, from past or present...

Also, who would be your replacement bassist when your out on your yacht?

If you absolutely must have more musicians, (keys, horns, vox...) then go ahead and throw them in too.

Do they have to be living?

Sonny Sharrock - Guitar
Tony Williams - Drums
(if I have to go with living musicians, I'd say Pete Cosey on guitar and Joey Baron on drums/percussion)

I don't play upright, but I'd still want Dave Holland as my stand-in. Trevor Dunn was an awesome suggestion too, but I'm gonna stick with Holland for now.

Actually, in all seriousness, I'd rather pick and choose from friends I've worked with over the years than go with anyone famous. Possibly my high school pianist Clark on piano and/or vibes, and my college drummer Miles. As for a real fill-in for me...Clark can have a pretty heavy left hand, so I'd have him do that too.

Dennis Chambers on Drums...Everything else is secondary

More then anything.

Dennis Chambers on Drums.

Everything else is second.

Would not mind switching back in forth on guitar with Steve Lukather, Buckethead and John Scofield.

In that order.
