My singer used to change the set for every gig. there were always some that were the same though. for him it was how stuff transitioned into the next song, and how that change felt. but there was always the same couple of openers - yeah, high energy songs.

For rockin' blues tunes, check out Robin Trower. For me, they are the epitome of the power blues trio. "Fool & Me" is pretty easy, and y'all could learn it quickly. If you pick up "Too Rolling Stoned" and/or "Bridge of Sighs", people will LOVE IT!!! You can make room for leads from multiple instruments...the songs are fairly flexible, and you could come up with some interesting keyboard stuff if you wanted/needed to on Bridge of Sighs in particular.

Wow...that's the 2nd time I've heard that this week.

How old is your target audience?

I think most rock fans over, say, 35, would recognize Too Rolling Stoned, at least. Fans do here, anyway. I know two bands who have entire Trower suites in their sets, and they are the most-popular covers those bands play.

Results may vary in your area, however.

I'm 14 and No. Irish. No-one has heard of Trower. No-one.

For the Muddy Waters Song, try
Mannish Boy ( I'm a MAN)

John Lee Hooker's Whisky and Wimmin is a good one.
Boom Boom is a real classsic, very upbeat.

I digress but 'Good Morning Little School Girl; by Mississippi
Fred McDowell is great. Find the version from Johnny Winter
And Live. Killer.

That's all section B.

Section F, AC/DC I'd recommend Heat Seeker, great song and
not often covered.

E - slower cover, not sure what you are looking for, but
Seger's Turn the Page isn't bad. We use it for the standard
closer.

Or, you might consider something like Hendrix's Bold as Love
off of Axis: Bold as Love. Great tune, never covered.

A: My choice would be 'See My Way' by British band Blodwyn Pig.
The Bolero-esque passage in the middle is choice hash.

On the G ending instrumental, I would be severely tempted
to medley this number.

As an example, capitulate the Greensleeves line, morph
into the Noise Jam, and see if you can't work out a bridge that
would allow you to use the undercurrent bass line to evolve
int Fur Elise. That will take some clever orchestration, but
should be well worth the effort of arranging it. You could
always end it there or recapitulate the Greensleeves line
(on steroids) as a finale.

Well...there ya go! LOL! No wonder.

Do give those tunes a listen. Its really, really good stuff. When I was just a little younger than you are, a high-school-aged friend played the Bridge of Sighs album for me. Man, it changed my life. The groove in those songs is tremendous. Treeeeeee-freaking-mendous. Do check 'em out!

He's got some real booty-shakers, too. Fool & Me, Day of The Eagle, the fast parts on Too Rolling Stoned. Big, fat groove.
