FINALLY FOUND A DRUMMER

You guy have no idea how happy I am. Me and my best friend (the lead guitarist in our band) just found a drummer. We've been searching for a drummer since about february, but it seems that NO ONE plays drums, only guitar, lead guitar, rhythm guitar and every stinking form of guitar We tried out a couple drummers, only coming up with a couple ugly people with no personality that smoke and listen to emo/ screamo crap. All of a sudden this morning, my sister calls me from college and tells me about this one guy from a town neighboring mine (Delran) thats my age (16) and like punk rock So I immediately called the guy up and 20 minutes later, our first 'practice' is decided to be on thursday.

Moral of the story, remain persistent!

well, Ill hope for the best, but if he does, he can only get better, right? It'll probably be a long time before we find another drummer, so I think well stick with this guy for a while. Back In February I sucked at bass too, but my friend had patience, and now I'd say that I'm decent at bass. I guess over an hour of practice every day helped. But I just have a good feeling about this guy.

What does this new drummer have that your previous trialees didn't? So far it seems that his only plus is listening to punk rock.

Well, I know some of his friends and they are quite mellow, so he mos tlikely won't be obnoxious or anything. The 'group' that he's part of doesn't smoke, so he mos tlikely doesn't, I don't really care one way or another if he drinks. I'd say that he's probably much different than the others.
