Help With Gig

Hi everyone I need your help. What is the best way to fill up a (roughly) 110x120 square foot yard outside with a bass, guitar, and drums. should i use regular amps for the bass and guitar, or should i use a mixer with PA speakers?

Thanks ahead of time.

PA is for the crowd.......Backline is for the band. if you want to sound good everything should go through the PA.
