In my band we're all close friends and hang out off stage as much as on. I've been playing with my lead guitarist and drummer off and on for fifteen years, and our singer/guitarist was 'adopted' about eight years ago. Overall,we're a great bunch of guys with no ego's or drama that plays for the joy of playing..that we get paid to do what we'd be doing in our spare time anyway is just the icing on the cake

I've only been in my band for a couple of months. I mostly knew they guys, but I wouldn't say I was actually 'friends' with any of them. That being said, I couldn't be happier with these guys. After being the "old guy" for so long, it was really cool to actually be the young'un for once. They do run the band as a business, but certainly make it a point to keep a family vibe up front. We're not swapping xmas cards yet, but I can see that we'll get there, quickly.

It's tough to deal with the rigors of local gigging, much less touring, with a bunch of people you're not tight with. Loading gear into a rental van at 3am, discovering you're one hotel room short, realizing you're in Boise and your backline is in Bozeman... all seems to have an unusual ability to help you bond with just about anybody.
