How often do you gig?

I was wondering who uses this website. How many days a week do you gig? I'm a recently retired teacher and play in 4 different bands and average 1-2 days a week (weekend warrior?).

Haven't gigged in a long time. But I'd be happy with 1-2 days a week. Working with a new band and this may happen.

Playing in three bands 2/3 gigs per week, Rock/Blues, Delta Blues & R&R + Sunday night Jam session, (not bad for a 63 year old).

Last year I was gigging about once a week. Now I am down to once a month.

Usually july is my best month. I currently only have two gigs booked

So I guess I am now in the hobbiest category since I don't think three basses makes me a collector.

How often do you gig?

Every other Thursday nite, every Sunday, some Saturday nights. Usually 3-6 different things per month, usually called at the last minute!

Live gigs? It varies - some weeks 5, some weeks none.

It goes in spurts. The new band I'm in I've only played one gig. But in August there are five. For me, that's a lot.
With a full time career, a kid, a house and everything that goes along with it, that's WAY more than enough to keep me happy.
I don't know how others in my situation do more than that. More power to 'em!

Normally once or twice a week. The most I've ever had was about 5 or 6 gigs in one week.

When my band is actually gigging, maybe once every 2 weeks. Hard to gig and attend school at the same time. More of a hobbyist for the time being.

Not often at all. My band just started getting serious about gigging, before this we had 1-2 gigs/year, now I'm looking at maybe 4-6 gigs/year. So... not often. We're a notoriously elusive band .

I'm between bands at the moment, so a big fat "ZERO!" for me!

Where are all the bands needing bassists in Dallas? When I was in a band, there were 10 ads a week looking for a good rock bass player. Now, all I see is ads for young guys (18-23), or a genre that I'm not interested in. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed, as well as putting myself out there.

Sigh....
