| | Registered User its all about "THE POCKET" | | | | | how should i handle this??? my band plays indie rock......lead singer,2 guitars, bass, and drums. one of my guitar players wants a stack when he dont need it. he uses a 40 watt 112 combo right now which fills our 200 member church like a charm. i suggested a 212, but he is dead set on a stack. Right now, i run a peavey combo 115 which is also getting the job done until i get my rig together. i have a hartke 2000 head, but still need my cabs. how can i convince him to get the 2212 over the stack? |

I used a 2x10 combo for years in a rock band against two Marshall half stacks with no problems and it was only rocking 300 watts. Let him get what he wants. It`s his rig. Not yours. Most 2x10`s could keep up and a 4x10 could more than easily keep up with a half stack. Don`t try to tell him he can`t get what he wants. You`ll just come off sounding like a butt munch. |

Really, I`m not. But life isn`t always fair. Toughen up and deal with it and either save up more money or come to the realization that a 4x10 is more than enough. |

1. You`ll be more than powerful enough anyways.
2. After 2 gigs of him having to schlep his gear all by himself he`ll realize he made a mistake and will stop bringing a full stack just for a church or bar gig. |
