39 years old, less than 1 year since I started playing bass and I am officially the bass player for a worship band! Tryout went GREAT, they said I was the 2nd bass player in the history of the band to come in, sit down and start playing with them (only had 4 or 5 other bassists, but I'll take the compliment

)

I owe part of tonights success to this forum/site - so much practical experience and knowledge in one site, this place definitely fosters bass players! Thanks TB!

Now...have to practice some more...

That will be the easy part - I was pretty nervous given that I'd never tried out for a band, or even played with other people before. It went well.

Polish up the songs and I know and start learning new ones! I have to keep up my blues though Should be a bit easier since I have an idea what to expect from the band.
