I see so many threads of the difficulties other bands are having....

and I wonder, have any bassists on this forum actually made dedicated one man bands? I've been seeing a lot of these lately, some more impressive than others, I have two friends that have both made one man bands (altho with the intention of eventually having a live band to play their stuff), but whenever I see a bassist put anything out, it's either just him rocking a heavy thumb pulling all this complicated slap (I used to be into that, not much anymore) to the beat of a drum machine, or a guy that's holding a 16 string bohemeth that I couldn't dream of holding by the neck with one hand making orchestral arrangements (also not bad, just.....overbearing).
I'm starting to want together my own one man project.
