It feels strange - we're gonna have a break...

I talked it over with the singer/guitarist and we're both fine with it. We lost our drummer a while ago and we've done a few gigs with other drummers and backing tracks but its never been as good as a full rehearsed band - the singers got loads of elvis gigs coming up over the next few months and as we haven't got a drummer yet (and I'm looking for a more serious band anyway) we're gonna wait untl we've got a drummer before we do any more gigs...

Its wierd - we USED to be a 5-pece band, then 4, then the 3 of us who started it off (the keyboardist went onto drums) but now its just the singer and me (recently with a laptop playing the missing instruments at gigs - dunno if anyone heres actually done that, but it CAN work quite well if you remember the structure properly) - I can understand why the singer wants at least SOMEONE else in the band really before we do anything else, but it still feels wierd...my "band to keep me going between proper bands" has been reduced to 2 of us...it feels REALLY wierd - first time since "4-gcse's-equivalent" course I'm not in a real band (I've just finished my degree...)

BUT...with any luck this band I'm trying out for will work out...!
