for nearly every musician. Paid downloads such as from iTunes are also trending down. Streaming services pay a pittance

The last bastion of profit is in managing revenue streams from publishing rights. It's no surprise that the publishing frontier offers opportunity because it's so darn hard to understand. Obscurity has served publishers and lawyers very well for decades. And now it's time that musicians rise to the challenge and fight for their rights -- and money.
