Merchandise Displays?

Anyone ever built one? Bought one? Seen a really cool one? We need one that is very portable, just fold up and go, and that would really look cool, yet be lightweight.

I haven't searched the internet yet, but I thought I would ask my brothers (and sisters!)

I happen to have done quite a bit of package and POP design for my clients in my career. All of your questions depend on the product, it's projected locations, the vendors that sell the product, and how much you have to have in stock. Lots to think about here. And you won't too many perfect off-the-shelf solutions. It's more common to have the POP stuff tailored to the product because it makes a more appealing display.

email me if you want to continue to discuss

Thats the first thing I thought of. It's time to get out the DIY gear. Perhaps you could buy a fold away table and customise it to suit your needs. Start looking at product displays in shops see if you can find any inspiration for a layout.

What I'm talking about is a folding "screen" that can stand upright on a folding table that's been covered up by a table cloth. If you've ever been to a club where a local band is trying to hawk t-shirts, then you've probably seen what I'm talking about.

I'm wondering if anyone has pictures of what they use now to sell their band's merch?

We have 3 different t-shirt designs, koozies, stickers, and ballcaps. We carry an ample supply in a large case and the lid has an example of each item mounted on the inside so when it's opened it's the display. The lid has a light mounted inside to light up the items when in a dark club. Very quick set up/tear down.

We transport our stuff in medium sized storage tubs.

I dont remember where we found this, but we found a small metal shirt stand. It's basically a hanger on a stand.

The guitarist decided to buy a tiny spotlight to shine on our display shirt. But I havent noticed any increase in sales because of it.

Quite often, it's the design and not the fact that it's your band shirt that makes it sell. Have killer designs (read PROFESSIONAL) and you'll increase sales every time.
