my band just got....

our first record label (semi-)rejection! apparently we were great and everything, but we didn't give the guy goosebumps. i guess the last thing he did was some big heavy agro-rock thing though, so i'm not too surprised. the good news of this particular showcase? the manager of a very big band loved us and might take us on as a client

It's an expression. Probably means "you're ok, nothing special though".
