Blind Arrogance

What do you think...?

It stems from someone who made a remark about our band based on erroneous information about someone in our band. The remark was based upon something somone percieved as fact when it was not fact. The remark was very arrogant and the person blindly believed the info they heard as true.

I guess if it really means something to you go for it but its sounds to regular street punk band name if you know what I mean.

To me the name has to be able to bring out a crowd and have people be able to remember your music by the name. Like no offfense dude but if I saw an add for a band called Blind Arrogance I would probably think "Battle of the Bands where?"

I think 'arrogance' has a negative connotation to it. You are in a band, which is supposed to be entertaining (i.e. showing a good time) to your customers; I think words that bring out negative feelings in your potential fan base should be avoided.

I'm not saying that your band name needs to be "Fluffy Little Kitten and the Cinnamon Buns," but something a little less negative may play better.

If the band is good enough, they should be able to get beyond whatever name is picked.

I like it. It's simple, but gives a sense of intrigue to the band. Might as well go with it.

It sounds like a band made up of pimply faced punksters playing in the high school gymnasium, and probably not playing very well.

I would change it, but that's just me.

No offence - I'm sure you sound great, that's just what the name says to me.

It seems like a decent name to me. Plus its not really that important is just the name, if you sound good people won't care what the name is. If you sound bad, well then that's about all they might remember.

+1. I think arrogance is not something you want to convey to potential venues and or audience. Even if the explanation is cool. But remember that you're not going to be there everytime to explain your bands name.

Never use a name that requires too much explanation.

"Blind Arrogance" feels negative, and you won't want to have to explain your name to everyone. Trust me...been there, done that. Its not fun.

it's a standard name. Not bad, but not catchy either. Sort of "expected."

Again, as I've said, band names mean nothing - if you're good, your name could be "Dog Poop" and you'll get gigs. If you're not good, the name won't help you.

Well, I love it!!

On the other hand, I don't think it actually matters at all. There are alot of "name" bands around with some horrendous names and it seems to have done them no harm at all IMHO.

I think it's important to remember that a TON of bands have horrible/ridiculous names. We don't perceive it that way 'cause they are famous.... So the name MUST be cool right???

I mean, If no one ever heard of them, and someone came on here and said, "Hey we just renamed our band. Stone Temple Pilots. What do you think?" They'd get equal negativity. How about Chevelle? Audioslave? (I still hate that one). Limp Bizkit??? Aerosmith? American Hi-Fi? Bowling for Soup for god's sake???

The list goes on and on and on of silly/stupid names.

With that being said, I like Blind Arrogance. Just be sure not to emulate your name and you'll be cool.

OMG, I cannot BELIEVE they named their band "Fist"! Neither could Bonham.

Nugent would drive me *nuts*, if I were in a band with him.
