Need some feedback on a mobile tool for bands I'm working on

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi.

I am working on a project called Fanteraction that allows bands to create mobile websites for their gigs. In other words, create Mobile-optimized band sites for looking up info before/after & during the break - info being bios, links, songs and lyrics, being able to sell songs at gigs through the mobile profile, allowing the audience to promote a band's profile via email etc.

The site is up at http://gigdoggy.com

Care to share your feedback?

Thanks a lot.

I would have looked at it more sincerely if there was something besides a registration page there.

I guess I sounds like a good idea, but how does an audience member know to look for my bands mobile gigdoggy page?

My first impulse is to find a band's myspace or facebook page, and I'm guessing most audience members will think the same.

He isn't looking for feedback, he is spamming his services.

@mambo

Hi. You are right - our home page lacks info on the service - we need to make it more dynamic and more illustrative.
Thanks for the comment.

Each profile is assigned to a unique URL, so it's up to the bands to promote them before, during or after their gigs. this can be done be spelling them out loud, putting them on flyers, cards and posters, and letting audience members know where to find the URL.

thx for your honesty - I'm very open to constructive criticsm

@vagus

Dont really know what your are basing that assumption on - I just want feedback. But I understand you can feel that way about my thread. Anyways, this is a free service, so not really spamming anything worth making money off of.

My assumption is based on the fact I work as an online marketing developer and know it when I see it. You can also look at your ~28 post and see about 95% of them mention your service.

I have dozens a free services and sights that make plenty of money from advertisers and ppc campaigns.

feel free to pm me if your interested in some real marketing techniques.
