Hey guys,
Just recently started an acoustic band with my two guitarists. What are some of the best acoustic cover songs you guys ever heard at your local coffee houses? Also what songs will be able to bring out my talent in an acoustic band?
Thanks for the advice
Cheers!

My favourite thing to do though is turn songs that noone would expect into acoustic songs. Try doing that. And don't forget to check out those tunes in the link.

Some of the best acoustic numbers I've ever heard were standard songs turned acoustic. Think about it that way. I bought an album of famous 80s hits acoustic. Some sound amazing, like Heat of the Moment, or Land Down Under.
There are of course TONS of the "unplugged" stuff out there. Some sounds really interesting. I saw Rob Thomas do an acoustic version of "Unwell" and it sounded so good, so sad. Lovely.
That would be my input. Be different. Something unexpected will get people's attention.

GREAT stuff!
Anyone have any slap songs that would sound great with two accoustic guitars? I'm going to be playing electric on a smaller amp at times as well, and well I just love to slap |

That was fantastic. Another song to consider is 'miss you love' by silverchair. Oh, 'grave digger' by dave matthews band is quite epic. |

Of course we also have a mandolin that added some kick, if you could call it that. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
