Hi.
Just read through a couple of posts and I really like your approach.
You pin point down aspects of life that bands should apply to their business.
Your blog is about personal finance and entrepreneurial ship applied to a music career.

Great work. bookmarked.

Thank you! I like to think of my blog as basic advice on "how not to go broke as a musician". lol

Musicians? Broke? never...

yea man good job. Waiting for the next post.

Mind if I ask you to comment on my blog?

I have been working on a blog for bands for 5 months now. Topics include indie band quotes on touring/booking/promotion matters, new web technologies for bands, and general music related resources I find interesting.

You can check the link in my signature. Thanks

Well done! It's great to see all of the good karma being generated by independent musicians eager to help one another these days. Keep up the good work!

while not exactly exciting - it's good sound advice (for anyone - musician or otherwise. wish my wife would read it).

The one guy I gig with who is full time pro - aside form being a fantastic drummer, was able to go full time when he was made redundant from a day job. They told him they were closing down in 18 months time... so he worked every hour of overtime, and saved every penny. When the axe fell the cash payout covered his mortgage, covered his bills for a while and and meant he could live more or less for free. From that sound financial footing he was able to develop his business as a player and teacher. He's now VERY comfortable.

Thanks a lot, pretty interesting blog. Ended up reading the whole thing

Really emphasises me trying to get out of debt at the moment (I'm 23 and in debt, like many people my age in this country). My friends have told me "Ah, what? Everyone's in debt these days!", but I want to clean my debts and start saving!

Book marked anyway, keep writing
