Owens a good guy, he always shows up with something else, he must own 20 basses.

I won't get to see it, but he's playing tomorrow night at Cafe Negril. he told me he's pulling out all the stops for this show. I forgot the name of the band, but it's the instrumental prog rock trio with Louis Carillo drumming.

from the lows,

Stew

OK, so you guys do the multiple string thing, I'll show up with a P Bass and flats. We'll go from one extreme to the other. Or is there gonna be a minimum string limit, like no less than 6, no more than 50 sorta thing?

If I bring all my basses, I will have 20 strings. (24 if I bring the upright)

hey man,

it's about bass, not numbers of strings. great players, great grooves, and great music!

from the low end,

Stew

ps - I'm leaving for NAMM tomorrow, so I'll be away from my computer 'til Monday night or Tuesday morning...

Amen Brother, but I can't resist a little ribbing on you young wipper snappers. No offense intended.
I've think I've been around the Blues Police too much lately. Besides, I know you can play circles around me with one string, much less 8.

just got in from NAMM and thought I'd scan through the email. that 11, believe it or not, is totally playable! got to mess around on it every day of the show and make an absolute ass of myself. some day I have to get some lessons on taste and pocket from you NOLABASS!

bug you about New Orleans Bass Night soon, man!

from the tired lows,

Stew
