Looking for good clubs to try to book for my band. Any suggestions?

Good luck. The live band scene in NYC is next to nil. The big clubs go with name acts. Most bars have DJ's or a specialty band of some sort, but expect the pay to be no more than $50 a man. Maybe you can get a gig at a hotel if you have the right repertoire and a good agent. There are approximately 100 competent bands for every venue that hires.

Not trying to be a bummer -- just saying what it is. You never know.
