Just discovered that Eric Johnson is at the - most awesome - BB King Club in NYC August 18. Shouldn't have, but instantly whipped out the debit card to buy tix for me and the wife.

Excellent! I saw Eric Johnson and got to meet his bass player in the early 90's. It was a great show. You will definitely enjoy it.

Very cool. EJ is a monster player and Chris Maresh is a phenomenal bassist. Very nice guy as well.

I'm really looking forward to it.

I think EJ is one of the greatest players on the planet, and I love his melody and tone. He Always surrounds himself with great players, so I'm sure I'll enjoy whoever plays bass that night.

It also gives me an excuse to get back to the BB King Club, which was pure magic for me last time around. The place is awesome - not too big to have any bad seats, not too small to not have a cool crowd. It's also one of the few places on the planet where you can enjoy a drink during the show - and also catch more music Right after a concert - with a separate bar and band playing 7 nights a week right in the same building.

Yeah, Baby.
