You, sir, are 100% correct! I'm wholly impressed by your use of the word "milkstache" as well.

Hey guys!

We have rehearsal tomorrow at 5, and we'll definitely go over these suggestions then. I have another rehearsal immediately afterward so I won't be able to post until later, but I'll let you know what comes up!

Thanks again for all the tips

Hey everyone!

We ended up going with Nick and The Fireflies... I'm not sure how I feel about it. There's an indie band out of South Dakota called Kory and The Fireflies, but that wasn't intentional. We got NickAndTheFireflies.com, which right now just forwards to myspace.com/nickandthefireflies, and we also set up a Facebook Fan page & group. I guess that makes me a Firefly, then?...

Thanks for all your suggestions, everyone!

Katrina and the Wave was already taken, eh? I was really looking forward to a free T shirt, too.

Best of luck with the new project!

We are discussing using this for a side-project/cover band for extra $ (we don't want to play too many covers with N&tFF lest we get a reputation as a cover band).

If it gets off the ground, we will do something special & awesome for you. GREAT suggestion!

Hmm, "Blatant Rip-off" could work.

Haha, I actually did at our first band meeting about it, but we were worried it would 1) set the wrong tone and 2) not "google" well.

Yes, we did settle on "Nick and The Fireflies" - I should probably update Post #1. Thanks for your help, guys! We have a Facebook Artist page now (see link in my signature) if you want to check us out!

Why not? Look what happened to the greatest cover band in the world.... They ended up changing their name to "The Beatles"
