A few years ago now I was subbing for a good bassist when he had a bit of a bust up with his band (not for musical reasons, I should add). Short version - he and the band parted company and I got the gig.

This week I've picked up some work with another band and it seems they also parted company with their regular bassist very recently after a disagreement. Yes, you guessed it - same guy. Phalex has suggested I actually have the Deluxe Red effect operating just for this particular player.

I don't know the full details, it's not really my business and even if I did I'd respect him and the band by not posting them here. But I hope if I ever meet him again we get on okay as he's always been a very helpful guy to me in the past, easy to get along with and a terrific player.

Not sure whether he ever uses TB or not, but just in case - no hard feelings I hope, mate. Get in touch and let me know how you're doing these days.

There is a pair of drummers in my hometown which have the same effect.

As long as he is around, at least you know you will soon have a gig!

As I am currently auditioning, everyone wants a history, or 'the experience' story about your past music jobs. I understand their wanting to try out competent or 'working' players.

I just want to show up & try out. It's a small community and I'd prefer to say nothing.
