He was such an amazing bassist, I feel like Hurt set him back a lot from where he was. (Though I haven't heard any of their newer stuff... so my opinion is a bit biased...)
Either way man, congrats! I hope to play someday with a band that big! I bet it was more than a blast! |

| | | Very awesome!!! My band will have that honor as well in a couple weeks. We get to open for HURT in Madison, WI on 2/13. I'm gonna check out your videos when I get home from work. a-holes block youtube here! Psyched to see 'em. HURT is definitely one of the coolest, new hard rock bands out there.

I played some arcades with the singer J for awhile in the green room. He's pretty quiet so if doesn't open up don't take offense to it. They we're looking pretty tired from the road, so we left them alone for the most part. I talked a little bass talk and some other stuff with their bassist, he seemed like a pretty decent guy. What really ticked me off some of the local musicians that we're there were trying to give Hurt one of their CD's and trying to talk business to them after the show when they were doing a meet and greet with the fans. We told the guys in hurt to use them as beer coasters, cause that's all they we're good for lol. It just sucks cause those guys are really struggling right now, they had no tour bus, they were in a beat up white van hauling a trailer, and trying like hell to get their name out, and here comes along some local bands trying to get them to give their CD to someone important. The only questions we asked them were what do they want to drink lol.
Anyways, rock the stage with them man, I hope you get as much exposure out of it as we did, if you want to check out the rest of the videos from the show their on our myspace at www.myspace.com/theoverdriveband and you can find all the pics from the show at http://s233.photobucket.com/albums/e...d/Hurt%20Show/
there's a few of them in there of Hurt too. |

| | | That's totally awesome. I've seen them a couple times around here and I couldn't believe it when I saw they were gonna rock the Annex here. It's more of a club with a very personal and in your face stage set up. I was gonna be in the front row even if we weren't playing. I did see that they've been added to the Seether/3 Days Grace/Breaking Benjamin tour. I actually would rather see HURT headline that tour then any of those bands.
We've played with several other national acts and I never try to pass our s**t onto them. Even if they liked it, they couldn't do anything with it. I'd rather just party with them instead of trying to talk business. I'll let you know how it goes. We might not have any video, but we'll definitely have some great pics!

| He was playing with them, and he is a really cool guy. Poor dude, looked like he had been beaten he was so tired, yet he gave it 100% during the show, and seem to liven up when you talked about bass stuff lol. |

Your style of music isn't my cup of tea, but you guys do it well. Mad props for covering Jerk Off, I love that song. You guys just need to move around the stage more. If you don't have wireless setups, get em! Go crazy.
