Poster Promo Problems

Sign in to disble this ad
How many times has this happened to you ...

Your band gets a gig at a club and you send promotional posters by mail or drop them of in person.

When you get to the gig your posters are no where to be seen.

I am beginning to think it's necessary to hang the posters in the bar myself.

What does everyone think ?

It's def. necessary to hang them yourselves. Time it right to get some face time w/ the club booking agent if possible.

Agree. Hang them yourself. They never get around to doing it.

Agree - also gives you an opportunity to check out the club/punters etc.. Have a beer with the bartender, chat about the type of bands/crowd they get.

We got a monthly house gig last year by being friendly with the club owner and showing that we cared about his venue and how we would perform there. We recently got booked for a further 6 months and asked to play the NYE gig there again this year!

All by going in to hang a few promo posters....
