Well my band has been hired to be the backing band for singers.
at a school talent show.

We'll be playing in an immense hall with a LOT reverb. Our soundman is pretty competant and has regularly had to play in such conditions but the problem is that my bass sounds really muddy and boomy and its completly lost in the mix

I use a sansamp programmable and I also have a compressor and a seven band equalizer.

Any advice on how to make me have a "presentable" tone for the gig tomorrow plz

There's not so much you can do in such a building. However, listen to the nature of the reverb in the building by clapping your hands, play a staccato note on your bass etc. If the reverb consist of mainly high mids /treble, try cutting those on your eq. I don't know how much it helps, but should help a bit at least...

If the room is filled during the concert, the amount of reverb will be less then. Hope a lot of people come to see the show!

You might also try elevating your amp up off the stage, or placing it on a carpet or some sort of Gamma type pad.
