here's a couple'a posters from the SF-based band that I was in in the late 60's, "ALL MEN JOY" . . .
"BLUE CHEER" was a early 3-piece "punk" group that was about 25 years AHEAD of it's time . . . and the opening act, "CREEDENCE CLEARWATER" would soon have LOTS of hits as "CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL"!

We also opened for the Doors (in Denver)

Can I just say "Thank You" for this thread idea?

My band's far from ready to play out, but I'm already thinking ahead on things... and tho I'm a graphic designer, I'll admit that my experience with doing show posters is really limited, as I tend to have more experience in doing retail ads and such (which means the few posters I've tried to do tend to look... well... clinical)

I'm not looking to steal anyone's designs, of course... but it helps to see what other folks have come up with so I know what direction I should be kinda going in.

Who knows that the music should speak louder than the visual designs... but who still knows that good advertising always pays off

Nothing fancy or funny but this was our 3rd gig

We did think about changing the name but his dad said it was fine. We raised £600 for him that night.

Also

and this is my favourite

Well we have a new line up now so are changing the name. I hate choosing band names

Here's a couple flyers I made for shows from earlier this year... I haven't made any in a while, just haven't really been motivated I guess.

Blue Cheer.........that is awesome. Rush even list them as an early influence. Blue Cheer's version of Summertime Blues is wicked!

Oh ya..............here is a poster for ya!
