Songs your audience SINGS along with you.

I'm looking for a list (or several) of Songs your band does that you have noticed the crowd mouthing if not out right singing along to.

Certainly the list will vary based on the crowd: Pre-College, College, Post-College, Oldies/Retro, Nursing Homes, etc. - so be sure to include some reference to your audience stereotype and ...

Thanks in Advance !!

Wagon Wheel is one that seems to get every crowd I have played before singing out loud, but I live near Roanoke-which is mentioned in the song.

The most successful one for my band on that front was Foo Fighters - Best of You. Followed by Soul Man. These were both at uni gigs.

Bon Jovi , Livin on a Prayer.

No matter where we play the audience sings the chorus with us every time.
In a packed small club they come up to the volume level of the band.
It's pretty damn cool.

We usually play for crowds predominantly made up of college students.
Even though I'm not a big fan of it, when we played Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody" a lot of people got into it. One that's more up my alley that was a big sing along hit was "House of the Rising Sun."

Just about 100% with the following:-

With Or Without You. (U2)
Every Breath You Take. (The Police)
Chasing Cars. (Snow Patrol)
Rolling in the Deep. (Adele)
Human. (The Killers)
Galway Girl. (Steve Earl & Sharon Shannon)
Sex on Fire. (Kings of Leon)
Still Got The Blues For You. (Garry Moore)
Alright Now. (Free)
Gloria. (Van Morrison)

No real need to mention the usual suspects such as Mustang Sally or I´m Gonna Be 500 Miles etc

No stereotypical audience here, it´s a tourist island. You get what you get and take it from there.

I know right? I love that neck profile. And the pickup positioning is really unique.

Actually, just choruses from the Metallica Medley we play with my main band Nowhere

Because, let Death's Crystal Mountain alone, all the rest is our own material

With my side band, a cover outfit by the "exotic name" of... Wild Peas

Because of You (Skunk Anansie)
The Kill (30" to Mars)
The Pretender (Foo Fighters)
She's a Genius (Jet)
Eye of the Tiger (Survivor)
Breakin' the law (Judas Priest)
The Trooper (Iron Maiden)
Famous Last Words (My Chemical Romance)
Holiday (Green Day)
Bring me to life (Evanescence)

are all warmly welcome almost everywhere we gig

Cheers,
Wallace

Rebel Yell - Billy Idol,
American Girl - Tom Petty
Summer of 69 - Brian Adams
Time after Time - Cindy Lauper

Any of the carpatastic cover band standards get the job done. We do a lot of 90s stuff also which people seem to enjoy.
