We've all seen guitarists do their famous stage moves. The've danced, played their instrument in different ways, and have even destroyed them.
But are there any stage moves used by bassists? As far as I know, bassists aren't as energetic as guitarists. I've seen a live clip of the Who, where Pete Townshend was practically bouncing around during the song, while John Entwistle just stood there and played his bass.
Though I suppose I could do some cool moves while just standing there. Like, headbanging, or punching in time with the music...

Honestly, any stage moves a guitarist can do, a bassist can do. They are almost all stupid. Stage moves are always forced, if you spin your bass around your head, you're doing it for attention. Any time you move on stage, it should be because you FEEL it, not some choreographed N'Sync move. Just my opinion.

"What do you do again?"
"Well I play bass, or that guy that makes an idiot of himself in the middle."
"OOO you have so much energy I love what you do, and oh ya you're pretty good at bass too"
Fun stuff sometimes. But when you hear the same things 100 times a night, its even better!

About halfway through he moves to the front of the stage and... just watch.

As far as the stuff you are talking about, it probably depends completely on the style of music of the band.
A guy in a big funk band with horns probably doesn't pull off the same moves as a guy in a death metal outfit. |

Serious knuckle-dragging happening with that guy.
